Hello, and thank you for visiting my wesite.
Dogs have been part of my life since I can remember, and I have been owned by dogs of a variety of breeds and personalities.
I am also a very avid supporter of dog rescue, and have for many years been involved as an adopter, transporter, home checker, fundraiser and fosterer for several dog rescue charities.
When I lost Daniel, my Greyhound, back in 2009 I realised I hardly had any photographs of him, so I bought a camera and was determined to learn how to take good pictures of my dogs. Fast forward several years, a few thousand images, many courses, workshops and 121s…and Paws in Focus was born!.
Paws in Focus has allowed me to combine my passions…so I spend my days meeting some amazing dogs and their people, attending all sorts of dogs sports events, where I can capture the amazing bond of these dogs and their handlers, .
Currently I share my life with Balian, a mature working sheepdog, and Molly, a young border collie. Both of them are rescues.
I am a member of The Royal Photography Society, the Guild of Photographers and the Winchester Photographic Society,. Through these organisations I have access to some excellent support, workshops and professional support.
For the last few years I have attended many workshops and courses on specific photographic techniques, plus several 121 sessions with established photographers, as I believe you never stop learning!
I am fully insured through PolicyBee Photographer’s insurance.
